Levelised cost of synthetic jet fuel for European aviation (Sacchi et al. 2023)
A life-cycle and cost assessment of how European aviation (flights departing from the EU-27 and EFTA countries) could reach climate neutrality. Table 4 gives the levelised cost of synthetic jet fuel made from hydrogen and CO2 (Fischer-Tropsch), in euros per kilogram of jet fuel, for 2030 and 2050 under a 2 °C and a 3.5 °C climate scenario, with electricity costs from the REMIND model and learning rates for direct air capture and electrolysis. Projections; the currency year is not stated.
