World Bank Official Boundaries, Global Administrative Divisions V1 (2025-05-07)
The World Bank's own boundaries for every country and territory (ADM0), every state or province (ADM1) and the disputed areas it assigns to no country (non-determined legal status areas), in the release of 7 May 2025 (V1) that the World Bank's Climate Change Knowledge Portal uses for its country and region values. Shapefiles in WGS 84 longitude and latitude. The site simplifies them into small map files; it never redraws a boundary.

None: it gives the map its shapes. They are simplified into 226 map files, listed with their origins, changes and credit in the map files' index, and drawn on the home page's map of the future.

- A fixed, dated release: the file of 7 May 2025 has not changed since it was uploaded on 10 June 2025. The World Bank's catalogue now offers later versions (version 3, September 2026) with different region codes; CCKP's portal says it will move to the newer boundaries, and when it does its region codes will change and these shapes will stop matching them (the build then stops rather than draw a value on the wrong shape).
