Global EV Outlook 2026 and Global EV Data Explorer

Electric vehicle sales, stock, sales share and stock share (cars, vans, buses, trucks, two- and three-wheelers; battery-electric, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell), charging points, electricity demand, battery deployment and oil displacement, 2010 to 2025, for 71 countries and regions. "EV" includes plug-in hybrids. Values are rounded (World 2025: 21,000,000 electric cars sold, 25% of car sales; 75,000,000 on the road). The 1.2 million barrels a day of oil displacement is for cars only; all modes add up to about 1.66. Projections (STEPS, CPS) are excluded by the query. The file also holds car price distributions for 23 markets (parameters price_* and sales-historical-price-data), which the report credits as "IEA analysis based on data from S&P Global Mobility"; they are not used. The API is undocumented and may change, so every pull is snapshotted.
